Francisco Líbano Monteiro is a Post Degree Researcher at the EIEE and MRes/PhD student at the London School of Economics. Francisco’s main research interests are Computational Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy and Applied Econometrics. He holds an MSc in Economics at the London School of Economics and a Bachelor in Economics at Nova School of Business and Economics, Lisbon. In his master thesis, titled “Monetary Policy Shocks Within a Declining Labour and a Service Sector Shifting Framework”, he developed a Time-Varying Structural Vector Autoregression Model. At the Institute, Francisco will be assessing the impact of the current pandemic, COVID-19, on inequality and poverty.
