The EU aims to reach GHG neutrality by 2050. The conflict in Ukraine raises the question of energy security in the EU. And, the industry faces strong competition outside of the EU. The challenge for policy makers and modelers alike is to find solutions that are aligned to all of these issues and goals. This year’s ECEMP edition seeks for collaboration between models and modelers to study more than the energy system alone, including competitiveness, strategic resources, policies and social justice. Call for abstracts is open until 12 June 2026.
