Lucia Letsch

Lucia Letsch is a PhD student in Science and Management of Climate Change at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and a research affiliate with CMCC. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her PhD research examines how climate change and global political-economic power asymmetries shape food insecurity, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, her research explores pathways toward more equitable and sustainable food systems. She is currently collaborating with CMCC for the EU-funded IDAlert project where she is assisting in the development of a decision support tool for policy makers on the consequences of climate adaptation measures on infectious diseases in Europe.
