Alessandro Taberna
Alessandro Taberna is a postdoctoral researcher at the European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE), where his work centers on modeling climate change adaptation and its socio-economic implications through both micro and macro computational models. His research focuses particularly on coastal areas with high population density and significant economic activity, assessing how these regions adapt to climate impacts.
Alessandro holds a PhD from TU Delft’s Faculty of Technology, Policy, and Management, where he completed a dissertation titled “Navigating Complexity.” During his PhD, he developed the Climate-economy Regional Agent-Based (CRAB) model, which investigates how the cumulative autonomous adaptation of interacting heterogeneous households and firms influences regional climate-induced damages and socio-economic resilience.
