Amsalu Woldie Yalew is a Scientist at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change. Previously, he was a research fellow at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy and a postdoctoral researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Germany. His research mainly focuses on the economics of climate change, energy, and food systems in developing countries. He mostly works with multi-sectoral and -regional economic models. He is also an adjunct and teaches Environmental Economics at the University of Padova. Amsalu holds a PhD in Economics from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany.
