Nicolas Schmid
Dr. Nicolas Schmid is a Research Associate at the sustainability consultancy INFRAS based in Zurich. He works in the fields of climate and energy policy, with a focus on political feasibility. He studied political science at the University of Stuttgart, Sciences Po Bordeaux and the University of Toronto. He then worked as researcher and lecturer at the Energy Policy and Technology Group at ETH Zurich and at UC Berkeley. In 2020, he completed his PhD at ETH (awarded with the ETH medal). His work is published in leading academic journals such as Climate Policy or Energy Policy. Since June 2023, Nicolas is an Affiliated Scientist at RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE).
