Seminar by Ludovica Gazze – 3 February 2020

Monday 3 February at 9.45 AM at BASE, Milan.

Ludovica Gazze is an environmental economist researching urban policy issues, such as lead poisoning. Her secondary field is health economics.

“Conserving resources and reducing pollution are among the most pressing challenges facing society.
Designing programs to achieve these goals requires an understanding of 1) pollution damages and 2) individuals and firms behavior.
How do people value reductions in their exposure risk to harmful pollutants?
What drives compliance with environmental regulations?
I investigate these questions using large administrative datasets and experimental and quasi-experimental methods.”

She is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago Energy and Environment Lab.
