Climate Impacts & Adaptations

Climate Impacts & Adaptations

There is an urgent need to understand how agents (e.g. individuals, households, firms and countries), as well as physical and biophysical systems, react to climate change.

Our work

We use the growing availability of data to identify statistical patterns and causal relationships between a wide range of socioeconomic, climate, policy variables and indicators describing impacts and adaptation to climate change, including indicators related to humans (e.g. labour productivity, energy demand), other species (e.g. crop yields), as well as physical indicators (e.g. power generation). We rely on statistical tools to match climate data, coming from satellites or remote sensing, with survey data. We deal with multiple spatial scales including household, gridded, sub-national, and national levels.
